Healthy Living for a Healthy Planet 101 Workshop

Friday Oct 30th 3:30-5:00 at VIRCS
Fun, interactive workshop on how to save money, keep your family health and protect the environment

Learn basics of recycling, reducing home energy costs, buying local food and choosing non-toxic cleaning products
Refreshments will be provided.

Part-time position at VIRCS

VIRCS is looking for a part time employment counsellor / case manager. This part time position is about 2 days/week and may increase in the long run depending on the client flow. This job opening is ONLY for VIRCS current and former staff, clients, and volunteers.

VIRCS Volunteer Appreciation Party

Thursday Nov 5th, 2009 4-6pm at VIRCS

Did you know that VIRCS has over 400 volunteers helping 2500 immigrants and Canadian citizens every year? Volunteers are the heart of our organization and we want to say thank you by throwing you a party!

Please come so we can celebrate your contribution! There will be food, prizes and project showcase.

Relocating to a new country can be lonely and difficult. Make a difference in someone's life by being a buddy!

*For young adults (19-30 - can be flexible with ages)
- Some activities include: salsa dancing, Capoeira class, Halloween party, etc.
* For families (of any age)
- Some activities include: petting zoo in Beacon Hill Park, hikes, etc.
