Volunteer Bulletin June '09

Hello awesome VIRCS Volunteers!

Thank you so much for volunteering at VIRCS! May has been a month of planning at VIRCS, and now we're ready to get started. I'm writing this month's Volunteer Bulleting early because I'll be away on from May 26th to June 4th on vacation. Please contact your Program Coordinators directly if you need anything during that time, or leave me a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Coming up, we are all preparing for our Workplace Diversity Fair next Friday, May 29th, from 10:30am to 1:30pm. This event includes an Employer Trade Fair and Multicultural Fashion Show, as well as great food from around the world. For more details, click here.

We're still looking for help with this great event, so if you're interested in helping please contact myself or Mary, the event coordinator, who can be reached at Mary@vircs.bc.ca or 250-361-9433 x244.

We're also looking for voice actors for our Multi-language Radio Eco-Tips. We are specifically looking for English, Punjabi, Spanish, and Mandarin speakers to help record short, 30-second messages for radio broadcast. Last, but certainly not least, our Promotions and Marketing Volunteer Team is in full swing, but we are still looking for a Graphic Designer to add the team. If you or someone you know would like to help us create posters and other material to promote VIRCS' programs, let me know.
